Life Cycle Strategies Pty Ltd is a consulting company which undertakes life cycle assessment research, consulting and training. LCS is also the Australian and New Zealand Competence Centre for SimaPro LCA Software developed by Pre Consultants in the Netherlands. Life Cycle Strategies aims to work with companies and individuals to assist them in implementing life cycle projects both big and small. LCA works best when expects within the field or sector being studied are involved rather than being undertaken by LCA experts with little specific knowledge of the sector.
Typical services offered by LCS include:
· A head around a table: assisting in a workshop, project design or decision process without provision of specific documented outcomes.
· Streamlined LCA: A streamlined LCA comparing different products across their life cycle with some documentation of assumptions and results. Generally not suitable for public disclosure without further work but provides the client with the information needed to commission a public disclosure LCA or make internal decisions of design or material selection.
· Full LCA: A fully documented LCA comparing options with detailed data collection on the main elements of the study and detailed interpretation of the results. Output of this would be suitable for environmental product declaration process.
· LCA tool: A specialised software tool developed for ongoing assessment of common product or service systems. This could be paper-based, spreadsheet-based or developed within SimaPro LCA software with a user-friendly wizards interface.
· Peer Review: For either formal LCA requirements against the international standards, or as a support person throughout your LCA.
· Specialised Training: For in house training on SimaPro use or the application or development of Life Cycle Assessment
· Greenhouse Friendly LCA: For companies applying for the Australian Greenhouse Friendly Program - LCS can undertake the LCA, or better still work with you to undertake the LCA. LCS is not a verifier for Greenhouse Friendly program.
