Barro Group is a leading independent supplier and distributor of pre-mixed concrete, quarry products and associated materials, operating more than 55 sites along Australia's east coast. Lifecycles produced Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for 42 of Barro's pre-mixed concrete mixes, built on life cycle assessments conducted in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and relevant standards. The assessments quantified environmental performance across the full life cycle of each mix.
Results for the client: The EPDs provide independently verified, transparent and comparable environmental data for 42 concrete products, supporting green building certification and procurement requirements. Concrete is one of the most widely used materials in the built environment, and these declarations give Barro's customers the quantified evidence increasingly demanded under Green Star, NABERS and sustainable procurement frameworks. The result equips specifiers to select concrete on measured environmental performance across Barro's east coast operations.
