Biax Foundations | EPD of void former products
Lifecycles developed an EPD for Biax Foundations' injection-moulded void former products used in residential waffle slab construction. The product, manufactured from post-consumer recycled polypropylene, is used to effectively reduce the volume of concrete required on site. The EPD adhered to the relevant Product Category Rules for construction products, as well as the General Program Instructions of the EPD program. To accommodate the product range while maintaining clarity, we reported results per kilogram of product with conversion factors for each individual Biax product, allowing users to obtain precise environmental data for specific applications.
